BusandTramBlinds.co.uk specialises in vintage reproductions of bus and tram destination blinds that were displayed on the front and sides of old tram and buses around the world during the 1900’s. The galleries of this site focus heavily on British and Australian tram and bus destination scrolls with over 140 different designs to choose from.
This site however is designed to allow you to create your own vintage tram destination blind. To design your own, simply complete the ‘order now’ form and write the list of ‘destinations’ you would like, you can use favourite world cities, favourite holidays you’ve had, places you’ve lived, children names, favourite banks or even a list of everything you love in life! If you can dream it – we can create it.
We use premium quality 100% cotton canvas giving the canvas an authentic texture along with market leading Epson inks, these inks protect your tram and bus roll from harmful UV rays and mean that your tram scroll will last for up to 70 years without fading!
There are 2 standard sizes available on the site with a variety of different finishes and colour schemes. The tram & bus rolls are available in black & white, beige and brown or our fantastic new Pastel Blue as standard however we also offer the choice of a more antiquated cream lettering showing the cotton fibres or for the true vintage connoisseur offer a ‘weathered’ version that is as close as we can get it to looking like an original tram destination sign. Have a look at these on the gallery pages. There are also 3 different styles, the centred and underlined text (see the Fitzroy scroll to the left) the popular full-line style and also a more modern contemporary version.
We offer 100% FREE DELIVERY on all Bus and tram Blinds anywhere in the UK.
We offer unbeatable prices and premium quality. We print using the best wide format printers in the market and always use UV resistant inks. The canvas is then stretched over a premium kiln dried wooden frame and laminated with archival artist’s invisible laminate to prevent the ink from scratching.
This close up of one of our tram destination rolls, it shows the quality of the canvas, we use 100% cotton canvas, intentionally maintaining a rougher feel to the canvas texture to maintain the vintage feel of the scroll. This cotton canvas helps the Bus roll to look and feel like an original vintage bus blind.
Every effort is made to make sure our tram and bus rolls are striking in every way. We use a font type that looks like the originals and our canvas is kept as raw as possible.
